Iguanas Necklace
Bronzobianco and fluorite crystals.
I was admiring these wonderful fluorite crystals (Asturias, Spain), which originated from the collection of the great collector, Vittorio Vignoli. The crystals are incredibly interesting geological specimens. I was inspired to create a typically animal-style necklace, which is one of the most important and cherished stylistic themes in our repertoire.
So, I conceived and designed the two iguanas, first made in wax and then cast in bronzobianco. They grasp the fluorite mineral, creating a necklace characterised by its luminous texture and huge sculptural impact.
